The Best Day Ever

I haven’t stopped smiling since Saturday.

Our wedding was more perfect than I ever imagined. It still feels like a dream and I’m so ridiculously happy.

rainy
In the days leading up to our big day, I barely slept. The forecast for May 30th kept getting worse — rain and storms all day. By Friday, we knew we would have to move the outdoor ceremony we’d worked so hard to plan indoors. And, we weren’t sure if we could pull it off.

But, with the help of our amazing family and friends, we did. And, it was even more beautiful than we planned. Moving the ceremony inside made it more intimate and we were surrounded by so much love. Somehow, we both managed to hold it together.

After our short but sweet ceremony, we spent all night dancing with our friends in a tent outside, listening to the rain. Everyone had an absolute blast.

The condition my dress was in by the end of the night was proof of how much fun we had. We didn’t let a few puddles on the dance floor put a damper on the evening.

The day went by so quickly, but we made sure to stop and soak it all in at several points. It’s hard to believe the wedding we’ve been planning for a year and a half is over so quickly. It ended up being even better than we dreamed.

I’ll be telling you more about all of the details in a series of posts over the next few weeks. For now, I’m going to enjoy a relaxing day with my wonderful husband.
